Technical Manager – Potato Storage & Sprout Control

The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on technical expert to lead our knowledge of potato storage, sprout control, and ethylene-based solutions. You’ll provide advice, run trials, support product development, and act as a key technical resource for customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders. This is a hybrid role with UK and international travel, offering a mix of fieldwork, technical development, and strategic input.
What You’ll Do
- Provide expert guidance on potato storage, sprout control, and Restrain products
- Design, run, and document storage trials to support product performance and development
- Oversee external trial partners to ensure high-quality, accurate results
- Support product innovation with field insights and technical evaluation
- Identify new opportunities for Restrain technologies and applications
- Represent the company at industry events, open days, and customer meetings
- Keep up to date with regulatory changes, industry trends, and emerging technologies
What We’re Looking For
- Strong technical knowledge of potato storage, post-harvest physiology, or related agronomy fields
- Experience in trials, data analysis, and product development
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical issues clearly
- Commercially aware and able to work independently and collaboratively
- Willingness to travel extensively across the UK and internationally
