We are Restrain

Restrain manufactures a unique generator that converts ethanol into ethylene gas for post-harvest sprout control in onions and potatoes. We also offer a seed potato treatment to boost stem count, enhance marketable yield, and ensure even size distribution, as well as a solution for tomato ripening.

Who we are?

Our story begins in 1999, when we set out to find a safe and effective way to prevent sprouting in potatoes. Our research led us to conduct trials with ethylene. With the success of those trials, the Restrain company was born. Since then, the Restrain system has been used to treat more than one million tonnes of seed, table and processing potatoes in 38 countries worldwide. Restrain is the natural replacement for CIPC in potato storages.

What we do?
