Regional Technical Sales Executive (Belgium & France)

Job Purpose Summary/Accountabilities:

The role will be primarily to support the Business manager on both a technical and
commercial level. Supporting the current portfolio of customers to ensure user satisfaction,
whilst identifying and developing new opportunities. The role will focus on the north of France
and Belgium and from time to time may require travel further afield.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

General:

• New business – find new leads and convert to new customer business.
• Provide / coordinate technical support and service to existing customers.
• Build and develop strong relationships with potato processors, seed potato
companies, packing companies, influencers and growers through personal contact on
a regular basis – keep the traffic lights on green for acquisition.
• Develop accumulator – Restrain seed potato treatment.
• Reporting – Maintain the SF database.
• Create budget and assume all accountability for the implementation of sales.
• Develop market knowledge, build and maintain networks, analyse and report market
changes
• Lead and/or support projects with your Restrain colleagues across the globe

Product and Technical Support:

• Run product quality related trails proactively
• Play a key role as a representative of your region in relation to product improvement
• Bridge important technical related customer feedback to the central team to assure
customer satisfaction
• Monitor and analyse data and communicate its valuable outputs to internal and
external stakeholders

HSE Responsibilities:

• Compliance with company Health, Safety and Environmental Policy and Procedures
and local legislation

Financial Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a budget in line with the Business Manager
Skills and Qualifications
• A sales and/or technical background, ideally within the agricultural / agronomy /
potato / fresh produce sector, and / or;
• A degree in a land-based subject
• Team player & networker.
• Resilient and a “clever worker”
• Shows eagerness, enthusiasm and ownership, energy and initiative
• Knowledge of potato varieties and potato storage
• Experience of working independently
• Full driving license
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• French & English speaker
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively within France and Belgium, and beyond
where required.
